The Annual
Nonprofit Summit
A Day of Learning, Connection, and Recognition

At the Sacramento Mountains Foundation, we know that strong leadership makes strong organizations. Our annual Nonprofit Summit is a cornerstone of our capacity building mission — a free, full-day conference designed to equip Otero County’s nonprofit leaders with the tools they need to thrive. By bringing national expertise directly to our region, we ensure that our local partners have access to world-class training in fundraising, content creation, financial management, and legal essentials.
This summit is more than a workshop; it is a convening of the minds. It provides a rare opportunity for leaders to step away from their daily operations to network, share "local wisdom," and build the strategic partnerships that power Otero County from within. When we strengthen the organizational infrastructure of our nonprofits, we ensure a more resilient and impactful future for everyone.

Summit Highlights
Excellence in Action
The 2025 Nonprofit Summit was a landmark event for our community. Beyond the intensive training sessions, the Foundation was proud to invest directly in the sector’s success by awarding $7,500 in excellence awards.
